We do advocacy and emancipatory research with marginalized and underprivileged segments of society, a form of research that is not narrowly focused on producing scientific knowledge.

Beyond this, and more importantly, we use data collection methods that educate and sensitizes this segment of the citizenry to their human rights, to their civic privileges and responsibilities, including their responsibility to hold their elected/unelected leaders accountable. This research approach also seeks to emancipate those who are oppressed and exploited in the various power relations that they enter into in their livelihood strategies.

We have a team of advocates and researchers with competencies in both scientific and action research lead by Dr Jasper Ayelazuno, who can design research projects on various aspects of poverty and human rights issues, devise the appropriate data collection strategies, collect and analyse the data.

Civil society organisations and academic researchers who are planning research into these issues in Ghana may tap into our expertise and local knowledge to execute their projects.

The money raised from our research consultancy goes to fund our human rights advocacy and education activities in Ghana.
